Speak with Sunny · Guide
Sunny is an AI English speaking partner. It asks you a question, listens to your answer, and shows you how to say it better — grammar, natural phrasing and pronunciation. Here is what happens, what Sunny corrects, and what each setting changes.
Start speakingPick a topic or everyday situation, or tap Start to begin with a suggested one.
Read it on screen or tap Listen to hear it. Turn on "Autoplay Sunny's question" if you always want to hear it.
Speak in full sentences. The red microphone means Sunny is recording. Tap Stop when you finish, or just pause — Sunny sends your answer automatically.
You see your answer, the corrected version and short tips. Tap Listen to hear the correct English.
Answer again to practice the correction, or go to the next question. Tap Finish at the top any time to see your session summary.
Sunny shows your answer next to a corrected answer and marks what changed. Tap "Why?" for a short grammar tip. If your sentence is already correct, Sunny tells you.
A sentence can be grammatically correct and still sound unusual in a particular situation. Sunny may suggest a more natural phrasing. Some changes are style suggestions rather than corrections.
Words that were hard to understand are listed. Listen to each one at normal or slow speed and try again.
Tips about pauses, very short answers and how to add detail.
If the audio was unclear, Sunny tells you instead of guessing. Try again closer to the microphone or in a quieter place.
Repeat the suggested sentence out loud. Tap the microphone to record, or enable automatic microphone start in Settings.
Give the same answer again using what you learned.
Mispronounced or difficult words are saved so you can practice them later.
At the end you get your main mistakes, the corrected sentences and the words to review. Signed-in learners keep all sessions in History.
Choose the mode in Settings.
Corrections during practice: after every answer you get a corrected sentence, grammar tip, pronunciation help and "Say it correctly".
Conversation with feedback mainly at the end: talk naturally with fewer interruptions, a quick model sentence when needed, and fuller grammar and pronunciation review when you finish.
Open Settings (the gear icon) during a session. Changes save automatically; "Restore recommended settings" puts everything back.
Sunny reads every new question aloud. Off means you tap Listen when you want to hear it.
Sunny plays the better sentence aloud after your feedback. Only used when Sunny suggests a better sentence.
Sunny also reads the grammar tip aloud, not only on screen.
After the feedback, Sunny waits a moment and moves on by itself. Available in Coach me.
Shows a translation under each question, for when you don't understand it yet.
When this is on, you do not need to tap Stop. After about 1 second of quiet, a "Sending in…" countdown appears. Speak again or tap Keep talking to cancel the countdown.
This setting controls the total quiet time before your answer is sent: 1, 2, 4, 6 or 8 seconds. The countdown starts after the first quiet moment. Choose a longer pause if you need time to think.
The longest one answer can be: 30 or 60 seconds.
The microphone starts by itself after Sunny's question. Most learners prefer to tap the microphone when they are ready.

When the browser asks, tap Allow. If you blocked it, open your browser's site settings and allow the microphone for this site.
Background noise and music make your answer harder to understand.
Two or three sentences give Sunny more to correct than one word.
Chrome and Safari work best. Some in-app browsers (inside Facebook or Instagram) block the microphone — open the page in your browser instead.
