Explain How It Works

Practise explaining familiar products and processes with simple passive forms.

You'll practice:

  • use present passive for regular process steps
  • use past passive for invention or production facts
  • organize an explanation with first, then and finally

How it works

3 parts

  1. Say the Passive Patterns

    Listen to the example, then record two short sentences about you.

  2. Explain the Steps

    You and Alex take turns asking and answering — 4 short answers.

  3. How Does It Work?

    A short free conversation: Alex starts, you reply (about 4–7 turns). Then Miss Sunny gives you feedback.

  • Tap 🎙 and speak, then tap “■ Stop”. Miss Sunny checks what you said and gives one quick tip.
  • The first time, your browser asks to use the microphone — tap Allow.
