Same Idea, Different Audience: Writing

C2 writing is about preserving core meaning while reshaping syntax, register, density, explicitness and interpersonal distance for a specific audience and genre.

You'll practice:

  • Rewrite the same proposition for different audiences and genres.
  • Control clause-based versus noun-phrase-based packaging.
  • Use nominalisation and impersonal framing strategically.
  • Adjust explicitness, contractions, agency and interpersonal distance.
  • Justify why a version fits its intended reader.

How it works

3 parts

  1. Rewrite One Message for Three Audiences

See a model, fill in your details, then write your introduction (110–150 words).

  2. Edit an Overly Institutional Public Notice

Write a short text about yourself (140–180 words). Miss Sunny checks it and shows what to fix.

  3. C2 Transformation Task: One Finding, Three Genres

On your own this time: a short, friendly message (240–320 words).

  • Every part: 👀 model → 📝 plan → ✍️ write → ✅ Miss Sunny checks → final version.
  • You can fix your text and check it again. Your drafts are saved automatically.
