At B2, the choice between Present Simple and Present Continuous is not only about 'now'. It is about how you frame the situation: stable, repeated, temporary, or developing.
Use the Present Simple when the behaviour is part of someone's normal pattern.
Example: I normally buy coffee on my way to work.
