Writing Task 1: Select and report key features

Write an overview before selecting comparisons from a visual prompt.

Spend time identifying the largest pattern before writing details. Your overview should summarise the main trends or stages; it should not explain causes that the chart does not give. Plan two body paragraphs around meaningful comparisons. Use accurate units and dates, and choose a small number of representative figures rather than listing every value. Leave a few minutes to check tense, articles and number agreement.
